MC504

The MC504, IDtech’s 5th generation master controller, is designed to connect the Unipass access management software with local controllers in access control systems. This cutting-edge standalone controller features optimized memory and processing capabilities, maintaining uninterrupted operation even during server disconnections. The controller is available in three versions—MC504, MC510, and MC516—scaled to manage different numbers of local access units (LAUs) and readers. The MC504, engineered to adapt to the rapidly-evolving access control needs, allows remote updates and configuration changes through a secure web interface. To cater to the growing security requirements, it enables encryption of communications with the server (AES and TLS).

The Master Controller supports NAC802.1x network access protocol and incorporates the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) to simplify and automate the management of digital certificates. The SCEP functionality automates digital certificate management, allowing controllers to automatically request and renew certificates from a Certification Authority (CA). This automation minimizes security risks from expired certificates while eliminating the need for manual intervention. The controller maintains full compatibility with IDtech’s controller range and complete integration with the IDtech software suite.
