ARCS-C/BT – 13.56 MHz DESFire® EV3 + Bluetooth® touch screen/keypad reader

A secure Bluetooth touch screen keypad reader designed for access control, the ARCS-C/BT combines RFID, NFC, and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies. This 13.56 MHz DESFire® EV3 reader is equipped with a colour touchscreen that displays a keypad and additional information and is compatible with existing access control systems. It can work along with or replace traditional RFID access cards. Integrated with an EAL5+ crypto processor, the ARCS-C/BT enhances data protection and privacy. The ARCS-C/BT offers a powerful and adaptable solution for modern access control, making it ideal for corporate, industrial, and government environments.

Key features:

Multi-factor identification:  The ARC-B combines a reader and keypad to enable robust dual-factor authentication. The multi-factor identification is done by combining card and/or PIN code identifications. The versatile keypad supports multiple operating modes (card and/or key), allowing organizations to authenticate personnel through dual verification, enabling additional security functions, such as intrusion alarm activation and customising access protocols to match security requirements.

Advanced security: This advanced reader uses the latest MIFARE® DESFire® EV2 contactless chip technologies with new data security mechanisms:

Secure Messaging EV2: A secure transaction method based on AES-128 which protects against interleaving and replay attacks.

Proximity Check: Improved protection against relay attacks. All public encryption algorithms such as 3DES, AES, RSA, SHA, etc. recommended by official data security agencies (such as the French national agency ANSSI) can be used. It uses an EAL5+* crypto processor for strengthening data protection and privacy.

Create your own scalable configuration: The Architect® series is intuitive and dynamic and comprises 6 interchangeable modules that can easily be connected to a common smart RFID core. This easy and cost saving modular approach provides autonomy on the security access management.

Durable and resilient structure: The ARC-B reader design has been developed to withstand harsh environments, to operate outside (IP65 level) and to offer a high vandal proof resistance (IK08). Accelerometer-based tamper detection system protects sensitive data and gives the possibility to delete the authentication keys.
