Facial recognition is a biometric software that maps the facial features of an individual to identify or confirm their identity. The technology is mostly used for law enforcement, video surveillance, and passenger screening. A facial recognition system maps a person’s facial features mathematically; this data is then stored as a faceprint. The software utilises deep learning algorithms to compare a separate video or digital image to a database of stored faceprints for verifying an individual’s identity.
Enhance security and maximize your operational efficiency with ScreenCheck’s cutting-edge facial recognition systems! ScreenCheck offers a wide range of advanced, highly accurate contactless facial recognition systems from Virdi, one of the world’s leading brands in Access control, Time and attendance, and Identification Management solutions. A premium face recognition terminal, Virdi’s UBio-X Face is powered by the latest face recognition algorithms and provides you with walk thru function. Integrated with Fingerprint and QR recognition
sensor (UBio-X FQR), it offers a wide range of authentication options including face, fingerprint, QR code,
mobile access card and more. The system comes with liveness detection and anti-spoofing algorithms that can recognise faces even with masks and prevents attempts with fake faces such as 3D face mask, face photo, and face printed paper. The terminal comes with a Cortex A53 Quad Core 1.8GHz and supports up to 500,000 Users (Fingerprint), up to 100,000 users (Face).

FAQs
How does a facial recognition system work?
Detection: Detection is the process of finding a face in a photo, video, or real-time video. This is performed using computer vision, in which artificial intelligence (AI) enables a computer to identify data from inputs such as videos or images.
Analysis: In this phase, the facial recognition system identifies approximately 80 nodal points on a human face. Nodal points are endpoints used for measuring variables of a person’s face, such as the length or width of their nose, the depth of their eye sockets and the shape of their cheekbones.
Faceprint storage: The captured and analyzed nodal points are then stored in a database of other captured faces as a faceprint. A faceprint represents the nodal data as a mathematical formula.
Recognition: The faceprint is then compared against a database that contains data captured from faces in an image or video
What are the benefits of facial recognition technology?
Efficient security: Face recognition is faster, efficient, and more convenient compared to other biometric technologies like fingerprints or retina scans. There are fewer touchpoints in facial recognition, and it supports multifactor authentication for additional security verification.
Improved accuracy: Facial recognition is a highly accurate way of identifying individuals than simply using a mobile number, email address, mailing address, or IP address.
Easier integration: Face recognition technology integrates easily with most security software. For instance, smartphones with front-facing cameras are equipped with built-in support for facial recognition algorithms or software code.
What is the ‘Walk-Through Face Recognition Method’ offered by Virdi’s UBio-X Face Premium?
Virdi’s UBio-X Face Premium offers advanced Walk-Through face recognition, making it a highly secure, safe and convenient option for all kinds of enterprises. When users walk through the gates, face detection and authentication is done at a distance up to 4 meters (gate authentication). Multi-face authentication can also be done at the same time when users walk through the gates.
Does ViRDI UBio – X Prolite offer multi-authentication?
Yes, ViRDI UBio – X Prolite offers high-speed face and fingerprint detection.
